We survived 2 days away from home with a toddler and pre-schooler. Tuesday after camp we headed down to San Diego. Made awesome time and even better both boys napped the entire way. We arrived at La Avenida Inn where Dave stayed several times with his family as a child. We dropped off our bags and headed straight for the beach.
Danny, our normally cautious child, jumped in and out of the waves screaming with excitement. He rode some waves and dove in and out of the water. This is the guy afraid of swimming lessons. Holden wasn't far behind.
Wednesday we headed for Sea World where we quickly spent $88 for Dave and I to get in the park. Danny wasn't really interested in any of the shows and asked several times if we were done. He did however, take no time at all to strip down to his underwear and play in the water park. We spent the majority of our time there.
