We lost our blankie
What a week! On Wednesday I took Danny to Toys R Us to purchase something with his allowance. Somewhere between there and the frozen yogurt store Griffin dropped his "lovie" Dave didn't seem to think he'd miss it. I did so at 10 o'clock that night I was searching the parking lot of Toys R Us. No luck the blankie is gone. I can't imagine how many times it was run over and what someone would do with a dirty silk baby blanket. I found a replacement on-line but it would take a week to get here. The night without the blankie Griffin was up six times. So Thursday I decided to try and make one myself. I couldn't get my mom's old sewing machine working so I sewed it by hand. I sewed his "whoobie" on it as well just like the old one. I bought enough fabric to make a large one with a hook to attach to the stroller. Griffin isn't picky it seems because he slept for 10 hours straight last night and he loves this blankie just as much as the last one.

Field Trip
Holden's class went on a field trip to our local fire station. What a blast the kids had. The firemen talked about fire safety, had a mom dress up in fire gear and the kids use the hose, gave us a tour of the station inside and out. Holden was a little disapointed the tour didn't involve a ride on the truck.

Another Pollonais kitchen
Pop-Pop's kitchen is just about finished and ready for business. The freezer is stocked with Holden's favorite popsicles now that summer is approaching. Check out all the great counter space just waiting for some "bake" to be rolled out.
