Danny is home and doing really well. We went yesterday for our pre-op apt. The doctor said that since Danny is so young he may need another set of tubes after this one. The next set after these they would use a T-tube. A tube works so the same but because of it's shape it doesn't come out on it's own. It has to be removed in an office visit. Typically they are used on kids five and older. I asked him if we could use a T-tube this time. I really don't want to go thru another surgery. He agreed and that's what he had done today.
Pop-Pop went with us and Holden and Dave went to school. Danny started crying as soon as we approached the surgery area. Once they gave him something to calm down though he was great. They took him away and the Doctor came back to brief us. Sure enough the adnoids grew back so we had tubes put in and adnoids removed again. It's rare for them to grow back but I guess we are the lucky ones.
Danny woke up briefly in recovery but went back to sleep again and we had to try again to wake him at noon. He told us he wanted to stay at the hospital. We eventually convinced him we needed to go and we are home now.
